Maritime Security Training

Train2Survive are a UK based training company with specialist knowledge in Maritime Security. We are accredited by the Maritime Coast Guard Agency (MCA) and the Department of Transport as an approved training centre.

We offer the full range of security training required to work on board vessels such as super yachts, cargo ships, cruise liners, motor yachts, offshore wind farms and tugs etc.

MCA Accredited (STCW ISPS) Maritime Security Courses include:

STCW ISPS Proficiency in Security Awareness (PSA)

STCW ISPS Proficiency in Designated Security Duties (PDSD)

STCW ISPS Proficiency of Ships Security Officer

Who the training is aimed at?

This training is required by seafarers seeking certification under:

  1. a) STCW Regulation VI/6 – training or instruction covering security awareness for all seafarers other than those holding higher STCW security certification;
  2. b) STCW Regulation VI/6 – training or instruction for seafarers with designated security duties;
  3. c) STCW Regulation VI/5 – training or instruction for ship security officers;
  4. d) ISPS Code Section 13 – training or instruction for company security officers.

Aims of the training

The overall aim is to provide seafarers with the necessary knowledge, understanding and proficiency to protect and maintain their own and others’ security at sea in accordance with international regulations.
